Carnahan’s Towing and Repair was built on a foundation of hard work and a simple goal: helping neighbors. In 1968, our founder, Gene Carnahan, leased a small shop in downtown Great Falls. He began by servicing mail delivery vehicles and local customer cars, but he quickly realized a growing need in the community. After finding himself calling for tows weekly, Gene bought his first used tow truck, transforming the business into the full-service towing and repair center it is today.
Now 58 years later, we remain a local, family-owned business. Gene’s son, Mel Carnahan, took the reins after being involved in the shop since the late 1980s. As the current owner, Mel carries on his father’s original operating strategy: treating every customer like family. Our team doesn’t just see a vehicle; we see a person who needs a hand, and our main priority is always to get you back on the road safely.
